TN-IAI Scholarship

The Tennessee Division of the International Association for Identification (TN-I.A.I.) is seeking applicants for a $250 scholarship (part-time student) and a$500 scholarship (full-time student). This award will be given to an individual on the basis of character, activities, merit, and interest in the field of law enforcement or forensic science. The following are requirements for each person interested in being considered for this scholarship.
Any member of this association in good standing may apply but membership is not required for application.
Any applicant must be a full/part-time student at an accredited college/university.
A minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA is required and a copy of transcripts must be submitted.
Any applicant must be in his/her sophomore year or higher. Thirty (30) semester hours or equivalent are needed and remedial or developmental classes are not included.
A part of the application process will include a summary of an applicant’s academic and career goals as well as his/her interest in law enforcement or forensic science.
Two letters of recommendation must be directly submitted on letterhead to the TN Division of IAI.
All applications and recommendations must be submitted by May 1st for the fall semester and November 1st for the spring semester. Any applicant reapplying for the scholarship must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and submit a current copy of transcripts.
The funds must be used to pay for tuition and/or books during the semester of coursework.
The recipient of this scholarship will be awarded up to the $500 award allowance. All receipts must be submitted with the appropriate form to the TN-I.A.I. within ten (10) days from the first day of classes. All information required must be submitted to the following address:
