STUDENTS

If you are a student of an accredited college or university, full or part time, undergraduate or graduate students who is taking courses in order to pursue a career in the various phases of the science of identification or the law enforcement field and are interested in becoming a student member of the TNIAI, please visit the Membership section of the website to apply.

Scholarships

The TN IAI awards a $500 scholarship for full-time or $250 for part-time students each semester.  We have a summer scholarship as well for $250. Deadline for Summer and Fall is May 1st. Deadline for Spring is November 1st.  Any candidate for the scholarship must meet the following requirements:

  1. A full/part time student at an accredited college/university, to include graduate level students.

  2. A minimum 3.0 GPA for first time applicants and a 2.75 GPA to reapply (transcripts required)

  3. Sophomore year or higher (Thirty (30) semester hours not including remedial or developmental classes)

  4. A summary of the applicant’s academic and career goals

  5. Two (2) letters of recommendation on letterhead directly submitted to the TN IAI

  6. The funds must be used for tuition and/or books during the semester
